THE PAPER FROM HELL (and back)

Sooooo, I am sorry I haven't updated you in a few days. I have just been writing THE. HARDEST. PAPER. OF. MY. LIFE. Okay, not to be a drama queen or anything but basically (with the exception of yesterday morning) my life has been research, databases, google books, Silvio Berlusconi, Beppe Grillo, Mani pulite, etc. No idea what I am talking about? Yeah, I didn't either before this paper. Don't get me wrong, the information I learned in class was really interesting and the professors really knew what they were talking about, but for the first time in my life, I went head first in the paper, completely from scratch. Normally I have NO problem writing my way through a research paper, but this one kicked my butt. Monday and Tuesday literally consisted of class and writing the paper, so I don't have any interesting pictures or fun things to write about (unless of course you want me to go into full-fledge detail about my paper). Yesterday, on the other hand was a really fun day and I took lots of pictures. I will update again after I have had a nap, but be ready for a good post. On a lighter note, PAPER OF DEATH=COMPLETED! Thaaaaat's right folks. I did NOT see Michelangelo's painting. :-( Sad face sad face tear tear. Halfway around the world, in Italy, in Rome and Vatican city is closed on Sundays. Karaoke, The Last Supper, and other fun things I am trying to remember

Helloooooooo all you beautiful people! I hope you have enjoyed my blog so far because I have a lot more stories to fill you in on now! Starting with last Wednesday (the days seem to fly by here and I don't even believe it's already my last week in Italy!), after I wrote my other blog. First we went to a modern art-ish museum for a little bit and walked around. It was pretty cool because the whole concept was that the artifacts and things that were in the museum were people's perceptions of what things in the future would be like (but now that it is the future, these things are just funny or interesting to look at). Here is a picture of the museum from the outside (Chelsea a girl on the program took some of the pictures I'm using in this post, so I'll make sure to credit which ones are hers). Walking in Bangkok is like One Giant Game of Frogger

Alright ladies and gentleman, men and women, boys and girls, here it is the long-promised (and definitely overdue) blogpost. As of this Thursday (9/21), I have officially lived in Bangkok for two months. With that being said, I have experienced and learned a lot already so I am going to try to encapsulate some of the glamorous and not-so-glamorous experiences and encounters I have had thus far. My aim is to get more consistent with posting but I will do my best "cliff notes" here to get it started now. Let's start simple: the title of this blogpost--Walking in Bangkok is like one giant game of Frogger . You know the one I'm talking about: the cute little frog attempts to hop his way across levels and levels of traffic without getting run over by the tractor trailer whizzing by, squishing the sad, unseeing frog to the pavement like vulture food or waiting for him to be scooped up by the alligator when hopping onto those (sometimes) disappearing logs across the river.
